I am currently an assistant coach with the South Lakes Seahawks. I previously coached at Fairfax High School and Flint Hill Prep as the varsity pitching coach. I started my coaching career in Northern Virginia at Madison high School in 2002 when the team won the Virginia State Championship after a 29-0 season. I pitched at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin from 1997-2000. I was named First Team All-CCIW.
I have also worked for the past 20+ years as a private baseball instructor. In
addition, I coached travel baseball at multiple levels since 2001 and volunteered
at ANSLL baseball clinics since 2014. I am currently the head coach of the MVP
Dawgs Gold 2024 team. I also served as an assistant coach for the Hot
Wings in the Northern Virginia College League since 2020.
I am a proud Chicago native (Go Bears!), husband to Christine and dad to his all-time favorite players, Jack, William, who you will see around the ballpark.

Coach isn’t a title you receive by winning an election or receiving a promotion; it’s a title that is earned through commitment, sacrifice, and care. Coach Lancman embodies those traits in the most exemplary way through the time and energy he invests in his athletes, his continued intellectual curiosity that brings new instruction and advice, and a deep passion and genuine care to help his athletes be successful.
Over the last 2 years, Coach Lancman has been a great teacher to my son, not only providing him outstanding technical pitching and hitting instruction, but has been an enthusiastic supporter and motivator for him. He has helped him understand and prioritize mental preparation, thinking and talking through game situations and encouraging him “have a plan” for each game, each inning, and each batter or at-bat.
Coach Lancman also challenges my son to be his best. My son elevates himself, works harder, and with more focus when he’s with Coach Lancman. Coach Lancman continues to enable his success, giving him the tools and support that will prepare him for the next level of his athletic career.
